Bricks fall from Danforth building, injuring pedestrian

Bricks fell from a building on the Danforth on Wednesday, injuring a pedestrian.

It happened around 6:30 p.m., on Danforth Avenue at Main Street.

Dozens of pedestrians were in the area at the time, Toronto police told CityNews, but were able to get out of the way. About 100 bricks fell, hitting an awning before smashing to the sidewalk.

One person remains in hospital with a serious head injury.
