A 35-year-old man faces several charges following a brief standoff at a North York massage parlour on Wednesday.
Police were called to the establishment at Ingram Drive and Kincort Street after receiving a call just before 10:40 a.m.
Police said a man had barricaded himself in the massage parlour, taking three women hostage and reportedly saying he would not be coming out alive and that police would have to kill him.
After releasing two of the women, Emergency Task Force officers began a dialogue with the man, successfully negotiating the release of the third woman and arresting the suspect without incident.
Michael Storms is facing three counts of forcible confinement and three counts of uttering threats.
