Man breaks into woman’s Yorkville home after stealing her purse at hotel function

Police have released security photos of a man who allegedly stole a woman’s purse and then used her keys to break into her Yorkville home.
The woman told police she attended a function at a downtown hotel on June 6, and her purse was stolen from a common area.
It’s alleged the man who stole the purse used her keys to get into her house, but was stopped by someone inside.
Police said the suspect then stole the woman’s car.
He is described as white, 35 years old, with a medium build and receding hairline. He was wearing a black and grey baseball cap, a brown jacket, blue jeans and grey shoes.
