By The Canadian Press

Two men are facing charges after a Sunday afternoon shooting in the Beaches.

Toronto police spokeswoman Katrina Arrogante says the shooting took place at around 2:30 p.m. at Kingston Road and Woodbine Avenue when two men were shot while sitting in a car.

She says they drove a couple of blocks from the scene to Queen Street East, at which point they were found and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two other men fled the scene on foot, but were later taken into custody by police. Three firearms were recovered and shell casings were also found in the area.

Rodrigues Sendia, 20, and Ajmain Rahman, 21, both of Toronto, face five charges between them including one count each of attempted murder and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

Police are not seeking any other suspects.
