Man seriously injured in Brampton shooting

A 28-year-old man is in hospital today after a shooting in Brampton on Saturday night

Emergency crews were called to the Torbram Road and Steeles Avenue around 11:30 p.m.

The victim found on the scene was taken to a trauma centre. Police initially said his injuries were life-threatening, but now say he is in non-life-threatening condition.

Peel police say the victim was shot while driving southbound on Torbram and stopped at a nearby Tim Horton’s for help where staff then called police.

There is no information on any suspects at this time.
