Person dies after being struck by train near Oakville GO

Metrolinx will be resuming service on the Lakeshore West line after a person was struck by the train and was pronounced dead near the Oakville GO station.

They estimate the first train to depart east will be the 10:36 train from Aldershot GO to Union Station and the first to depart west will be the 10:13 train from Union Station to Aldershot.

There will be further cancellations and delays as Metrolinx attempts to get back on schedule.

The investigation into the fatality is still ongoing.
