A 36-year-old man has been pronounced dead following a shooting Saturday night in the Swansea neighbourhood.
Police say they were called about reports of a shooting on Swansea Mews near Windermere Avenue and the Queensway at around 7:45 p.m.
Upon arriving officers discovered an unconscious man in a car suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Paramedics performed life saving measures on the victim, who was transported to a trauma centre where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
On Sunday, police identified the victim as Tresor Tresor Kininga.
Police would not say if this was a targeted shooting.
Police have not released any suspect description at this time except to say that a white sedan was reportedly seen leaving the area. Anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the shooting or has dashcam video is asked to contact police.
This is the 58th homicide of the year in the city.
