Woman attacked with a hammer near Yonge-Dundas Square

Toronto police are searching for a suspect after a woman was attacked with a hammer near Yonge-Dundas Square.

Police were called to Dundas and Victoria streets around 10 p.m. on Thursday.

The woman was treated for minor injuries in hospital.

Police said the woman is not cooperating with police.

Police the male suspect is believed to be 35 years old, around six feet tall and having a brown complexion. At the time, he was wearing a purple head covering, a black hooded sweater with a silver Reebok logo on it and black pants.
