One man is dead following a shooting in Brampton.

Police were called to a residence on Rosepac Avenue near Bovaird Drive and Kennedy Road around 6:40 p.m.

Upon arriving they discovered a young adult male suffering from gunshot wounds on the street. Despite first aid administered by paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they are looking for a white or light coloured vehicle seen fleeing the area with multiple suspects believed to be inside.

Investigators would not say if this was a targeted shooting, saying only they believe it to be an isolated incident and there is likely no additional threat to public safety.
