An 82-year-old man from London, Ont., has been killed in a single motorcycle crash in Mississauga.
Police were called to the scene of the crash on Highway 401 eastbound at the express and collector lanes exchange at Hurontario Street around 3 p.m.
According to OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt the driver was in the left lane of the collectors and appeared to be trying to get into the express lanes when he struck the end barrier of the highway divider and was thrown from his motorcycle.
The rider was absent vital signs when emergency crews arrived.
The man was transported to a trauma centre where he was pronounced dead.
