Service has resumed at the William Osler testing centre after being temporarily closed due to a staffing shortage.

At one point Tuesday morning, vehicles remained in line and people were still getting tested but when the gates were closed nobody else went through.

One woman leaving the location said she heard it was having “technical issues.”

“This morning, William Osler Health System experienced a brief delay at its Etobicoke COVID-19 Testing Centre due to a temporary staffing shortage. We were able resume normal operations at the Testing Centre later on in the morning,” a spokesperson confirmed with 680 NEWS.

Initially, the gates shared a sign that read it will reopen Wednesday morning at 8 o’clock.

Over the weekend, the William Osler Health System said it was experiencing high volumes at both of its COVID-19 testing centres.
