Toronto police have located the parents of a two-year-old boy who was found wandering alone in a Scarborough neighbourhood.

Parents have been contacted. Arrangements have been made to reunite the child with his parents,” police said in a tweet around 8:45 a.m.

Police said the child was found by an Uber driver in the area of Markham Road and Cougar Court, near Eglinton Avenue East, around 3 a.m. on Thursday.

Const. David Hopkinson said the child was wearing a T-shirt and diaper when he was found by the driver.

Police said the boy was in good health and was being looked after at 43 Division.

Update: Police initially said the boy was a year old but Supt. David Rydzik at 43 Division said the boy is two years old.
