Homicide unit investigating after man shot in Brampton

Peel police say the homicide unit is investigating after a man in his 20s was shot in Brampton.

Emergency crews were called to the area of Scott Street and Church Street East, near Queen Street East, just after 10:30 p.m. Thursday for reports of a shooting.

They found a man with critical injuries in a basement apartment. He was taken to a trauma centre.

There is no word on any suspects at this time.
