Police investigating ‘suspicious’ deaths of Georgetown house fire

Halton police are calling the deaths of two people in a house fire in Georgetown this week suspicious.
They’re basing it on the result of autopsies but haven’t shared any further details.
Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation.
The identities of the victims – one man and one woman – have not yet been confirmed but police believe they lived at the house on Hidden Lake Trail.
Investigators are looking for security camera or dashcam footage from the neighbourhood, specifically between the hours of 6:00 a.m. Tuesday and 6:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.
The house was engulfed in flames when first responders arrived around 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
They’re calling on anyone that may have information on this investigation to come forward.
