People gathered for a peaceful protest at Mississauga’s Celebration Square Tuesday evening in response to the ongoing Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
A group called Palestine House said they were the organizers of the gathering in a tweet earlier in the afternoon.
Photos and video from the scene showed people walking along the streets carrying signs that said “free Palestine” and waving Palestinian flags.
Peel Regional Police said in a tweet at 7:40 p.m. to “please be considerate of your neighbours and your community while exercising your freedom of thought, belief, opinion, and expression.”
