Woman transported to hospital following Brampton shooting

A woman in her 50s has been transported to hospital following a shooting at a residence in Brampton.

Peel Regional Police were called to a home at The Gore Road and Don Minaker Drive just after 7:30 pm. Wednesday.

When they arrived, they located a female suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to a trauma centre in stable condition.

Police say that two suspects were seen outside of the residence before the shooting. Someone in the home opened the front door and that is when shots were fired.

Investigators are currently looking for a dark coloured vehicle scene spotted fleeing the scene.
