Motorcyclist dead after 2-vehicle crash in Brampton

A 47-year-old man is dead after colliding his motorcycle with another vehicle in Brampton.

Emergency crews were called to Bovaird Drive East and Great Lakes Drive, west of Dixie Road, just before midnight on Friday.

Police said the motorcyclist was travelling eastbound at a high rate of speed, when it slammed into the side of a vehicle that was turning from the westbound lanes.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene.
