Peel police have arrested two men in connection with the shooting death of a Brampton man last week.

Emergency services were called to the area of Dixie Road and Peter Robertson Boulevard shortly before 1 a.m. for reports that a person had been shot at a plaza nearby.

When paramedics arrived they found a man suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a trauma centre but died of his injuries. The victim was identified as 36-year-old Amanjot Bains.

On Wednesday, Zachary O’Gorman, 22, from Brampton was charged with first-degree murder. Gurpreet Singh, 29, also from Brampton was charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

They were both held for a bail hearing and appeared in court on Thursday.
