Ontario reports 409 new COVID-19 cases, another 3 deaths

Ontario is reporting 409 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, a rise from 321 cases the day before.
Another three people have died as a result of the virus, bringing the provincial death toll to 9,865.
There were 31,383 tests completed in the past 24 hours with a test positivity rate of 1.3 per cent.
The province said of the overall new cases, 265 cases are in individuals who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status, while 144 are fully vaccinated.
In a tweet, Health Minister Christine Elliott said 197 people are hospitalized with COVID-19 (excluding ICU) and 132 are in the ICU.
Of the 197 patients, 169 are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 28 are fully vaccinated. And of the 132 in the ICU, 116 patients are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status, while 16 are fully vaccinated.
According to the latest data, 88 per cent of Ontarians aged 12 and over have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and 84.2 per cent are fully vaccinated.
The daily update comes as Ontario lifts capacity limits for outdoor organized public events, including Remembrance Day services and Santa Claus Parades. Some cities, including Toronto, have already opted not to do a traditional Santa Claus parade with crowds this year.
