Two men are facing first-degree murder charges and police are searching for a third suspect after a 27-year-old man was shot and killed in Regent Park back in September.

On the evening of September 18, Toronto police were called to the scene in the Oak and Sumach streets after residents reported hearing multiple gunshots in the area.

A 27-year-old man from Toronto was treated for serious, but not life-threatening injuries. He has since been released from hospital.

The third man — identified as Thane Murray — died on scene.

On Monday, police arrested and charged Noah Anderson and Junior Jahmal Harvey — both 20 years old and from Toronto — on three counts, including two counts of attempted murder in addition to the first-degree murder charge.

They both appeared in court at College Park on Tuesday.

However, one man remains on the run and police are asking for the public’s help to try and track him down.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 27-year-old Jabreel Elmi of Toronto on three counts, including first-degree murder. He’s described as five-foot-seven, about 180 pounds, with a stocky build.

Jabreel is considered armed and dangerous and police are warning the public not to approach him if he is spotted, but rather contact the Homicide Squad.
