A Winter Weather Travel Advisory is in effect for the GTA ahead of snowfall on Saturday.
Environment Canada says five to 10 centimetres of snow are expected in most parts of the city with the bulk of it arriving in the morning before tapering off by early this evening.
“Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly,” the national weather agency said. “Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.”
The advisory also covers Hamilton and Niagara Regions.
