Man seriously injured in Brampton shooting

A man has suffered non-life threatening injuries following a shooting in Brampton.

Police say they received numerous calls for the sound of gunshots in the area of Williams Parkway and Chinguacousy Road just after 6 p.m. Friday.

When emergency services arrived, they discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound in a residence. He was transported to a local hospital.

Police have yet to provide a suspect description.

They are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time and has dash cam footage or information to contact them.
