Man dies in hospital following Oshawa shooting

A man is dead following a shooting in Oshawa on Monday night.

Durham Regional Police were called to Madison Avenue, near Stevenson Road and Adelaide Avenue, after getting reports of shots fired.

Officers arrived to find a victim with life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced.

The Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation.

There is no word on any suspects.
