Police seek public’s help identifying woman found dismembered in garbage bag
Police are trying to identify a murdered woman whose remains were found in a garbage bag in Leslieville on Monday afternoon.

In an update Tuesday night, Det. Sgt. Christopher Ruhl said the adult female victim was partially dismembered, and the case is now being treated as a homicide.
Police were called to Eastern and Berkshire avenues at around 1:30 p.m. Monday after the remains were found on the south side of Eastern Avenue in a garbage bag.

Police want to speak to anyone who was in the area between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and may have seen someone pushing a shopping cart filled with black garbage bags.
The victim is described as light-skinned, between the ages of 20 and 40 with shoulder length dark hair. She’s around five foot two. Her ethnicity is undetermined at this point.
Police said she had distinctive designs on her finger and toe nails and was wearing a red Armani exchange T-Shirt.
Photos of the nail designs and shirt were released on Tuesday night.
