ActiveTO: Road closures for this weekend

ActiveTO is back in the city this weekend.
The following routes will be closed to motor vehicles on Saturday and Sunday — allowing for more room for cyclists and pedestrians.
ActiveTO road closures from 7 a.m. May 28 to 7 p.m. May 29
- Bayview Avenue from Rosedale Valley Road to Lawren Harris Square
- River Street from Bayview Avenue to Spruce Street
- The Meadoway from Brimley Road to Scarborough Golf Club Road
Active TO road closures from 7.a.m. May 29 to 7 p.m. May 29
- Lake Shore Boulevard West (eastbound lanes only) from Windermere Avenue to Stadium Road
Some roads within High Park will also be closed to vehicles during the weekend.
The ActiveTO initiative was introduced in the summer of 2020 in a response to the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to allow for physical distancing by giving cyclists and pedestrians more space on roadways..
