RELATED: ‘Extremely disturbing:’ 1 dead, 7 injured in 4 separate Toronto shootings on Sunday

Friday’s deadly shooting in Etobicoke was followed by a string of shootings in Toronto over the weekend, including four on Father’s Day alone.

On Sunday afternoon, two teen boys, 15 and 16, were rushed to hospital with serious injuries after they were shot in the city’s west end. They were found in a parking lot in the Humber Boulevard and Alliance Avenue area.

That shooting was followed by two more shortly after.

A 43-year-old man was found shot, and is now in stable condition, after a shooting in the area of Allen Road and Eglinton Avenue. Police then responded to the area of Caledonia Road and Lawrence Avenue West where a man, who has since been identified as 24-year-old Jaron Williams, was found without vital signs. Four suspects were seen driving away from the scene in a vehicle described as a 2010-2015 beige or champagne-coloured Chevrolet Equinox.

Police believe the last two shootings that afternoon are connected due to the timeline.

Later in the evening on Sunday in Scarborough, four people were hospitalized after they were shot at an unsanctioned car rally. That happened in the area of McCowan Road and Milner Avenue around 9 p.m. and left one male with severe and life-altering injuries, two males with severe injuries, and a female with minor injuries.

On Monday, Toronto Police Supt. Steven Watts said in an update that all seven victims are expected to survive.

Police are continuing to investigate each shooting and anyone who has information about any of these incidents are being asked to call investigators.
