Police investigating suspicious death of 22-year-old woman in Newmarket
A homicide investigation is now underway in Newmarket. York Regional Police say they were called to the area for an injured person around 1:30 Friday. A 22-year-old was rushed to hospital where she later died.

York Regional Police are investigating following the suspicious death of a 22-year-old woman in Newmarket on Friday morning.
Officers were called to a home near Prospect and Gorham streets, south of Davis Drive, around 1:30 a.m.
A 22-year-old woman was located at the scene and she was taken to hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Police say the death has been deemed suspicious and the homicide unit is now investigating.
A cause of death has not yet been determined.
