Boy, 7, dead and others injured in multi-vehicle crash near Orangeville

A seven-year-old boy is dead, and at least seven other people are injured after a multi-vehicle, head-on crash near Orangeville.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Dufferin says the collision happened in the Township of Amaranth around 9 p.m. on Monday.
Dufferin County OPP Const. Jennifer Roach says a seven-year-old boy from Orangeville died in hospital, and seven others were treated for injuries deemed not life-threatening.
Roach says the crash involved a pickup truck and a sports car.

“The OPP traffic collision team has been brought in to investigate,” Roach said.
“This is a very tragic and understandably difficult time for the families involved. Dufferin OPP would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the little boy who passed away in this collision.”
