Man wanted selfie with OPP cruiser, got arrested for impaired driving

Alcohol impairs judgement. Need proof?

Ontario Provincial Police in Elgin County say they arrested a suspected drunk driver after he approached an officer seeking to take a photo with a police cruiser.

“YES this actually happened!” OPP West Region tweeted, saying the man was arrested on Heritage Line in Elgin County after trying “to have a photo taken with a police vehicle.”

An unnamed 18-year-old selfie-loving man from Bayham, Ontario was arrested at the scene.

“As a result of the interaction, they were taken into custody without incident and subsequently charged with impaired driving offences,” police told CityNews.
