Man critically injured after van crashes into ravine in south Etobicoke

A 66-year-old man has critical injuries following a single-vehicle crash in Etobicoke.
Police say a van crashed through a guardrail and landed in a ravine on Royal York Road south of Bloor Street just before 5 p.m. Sunday.
Paramedics say they transported a man to a trauma centre with critical injuries. Police updated his condition later in the night to say the injuries were life-threatening.
Fire officials say no one else was injured in the crash.

Police are asking anyone who may security camera or dash-cam footage of the area near Royal York and Norseman Street between the hours of 4:45 p.m. to 5 p.m. to contact them.
