Lockdown lifted at York high school after police investigate reports of person with gun inside

A lockdown at York Memorial Collegiate prompted by a gun investigation has been lifted and students are being dismissed for the day, the Toronto District School board confirms.
Police were called to the high school in the Keele Street and Eglinton Avenue West area at around 2:09 p.m. after reports of a person with a gun inside.
No injuries have been reported.
Police provided an update at around 3:40 p.m. saying no person with a gun was located in the school.
