Toronto man facing attempted murder charge for double shooting in Vaughan

A 32-year-old Toronto man is facing more than a dozen charges in connection to a shooting in Vaughan earlier this year that sent two men to hospital.

York region police say they were called to Est. 2020 Restaurant and Lounge on Langstaff Road at around 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 4 following reports of multiple shots fired in the area.

When they arrived they found a 25-year-old man and 38-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. They were hospitalized and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Following an investigation, officers carried out a search warrant on a Toronto residence where weapons and drugs were also seized.

Emmanuel Kuffour is facing an attempted murder charge as well as several firearm and drug charges.

Police say four other members of his family are also facing several drug charges in connection to the items that were seized in the home during the search.
