Man, 46, struck and killed by vehicle in Pickering

A 46-year-old man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle in Pickering on Tuesday night.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. in the area of Kingston and Rosebank roads, west of Whites Road.

The man was was rushed to a Toronto-area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Durham police say the driver involved remained at the scene. There is no word if any charges will be laid.

Kingston Road was closed in both direction for the investigation but has since reopened.
