    Two men are in hospital, one with serious injuries, after a van collided with a TTC streetcar in downtown Toronto.

    Police responded to the crash at Queen Street East and Church Street shortly after 1 a.m. Monday.

    A van collided head-on with a westbound streetcar at the intersection. Photos from the scene show significant front-end damage to both vehicles.

    Two men in the van were sent to hospital and paramedics say one of the men suffered serious injuries, the other has minor injuries.

    Police say no one in the streetcar was hurt.

    The investigation is ongoing and the cause of the crash is not yet known.

    Queen Street was closed in both direction at Church but roads have since reopened.
