1 dead, 1 under arrest in Scarborough homicide

One man is dead and another is in custody following a late night altercation in Scarborough.
Toronto police say they were called to the area of Morecambe Gate and Victoria Park Avenue just before midnight on Friday for reports of an altercation between two men.
When they arrived they found one man had been stabbed with a “sharp edged weapon.” He was taken to a nearby trauma centre, where he was pronounced dead.
Police identified the victim as 37-year-old Kirk Cargill of Toronto.
The suspect, who fled the scene following the attack, was arrested on Saturday.
Geoffrey Luyeye, 27, of Toronto has been charged with second degree murder.
