Heavy snow from Friday’s storm is likely to blame for the partial collapse of a wall at a building in an industrial area of North York.
Police and fire crews were called to a building on Signet Drive in the area of Weston Road and Finch Avenue West just before noon on Saturday.
“We found that the back wall of the building has collapsed, possibly due to snow load,” said Toronto Fire platoon chief Chris Rowland. “We did have a fire here two years ago, so there is still some residual damage from that time.”
No injuries were reported and fire officials quickly determined there was no one in the building at the time of the collapse.
