Toronto police say they’ve arrested a suspect in a series of bank robberies that took place over a span of four days in Toronto, Peel and York regions.
Investigators say five banks were robbed between March 14 and March 18, 2023, with the suspect allegedly using stolen vehicles to flee.
Police say in the first four robberies, a man entered the banks wearing a mask and produced a note that demanded cash and said he was carrying a gun.
The tellers handed over cash and the man fled.
In the fifth robbery, the suspect approached a teller who was serving another customer and allegedly snatched cash out of the teller’s hand before fleeing.
On Wednesday, police arrested a suspect.
Trevor Khan, 36, of Toronto is charged with five counts of robbery, four counts of disguise with intent and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime.
