Woman, 69, killed in hit-and-run in Etobicoke

A 69-year-old woman is dead after being struck by a vehicle in the Bloor Street West and Aberfoyle Crescent area on Sunday morning.

Police say a red Toyota Prius (2012-2014) was going eastbound on Bloor when it struck the woman just before 8:30 a.m.

The woman was taken to hospital with critical injuries and was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Prius fled the scene of the accident. Police say the vehicle sustained damage to the passenger side and is missing the passenger side mirror.
