Two people have been taken to hospital after an incident with a jet ski in the water near Humber Bay Park.

Toronto Fire Services (TFS) were called into assist on a marine rescue in the area around 12 p.m. Monday to reports there was an unoccupied jet ski and two people unaccounted for in the water.

When crews arrived, one person was already out of the water. TFS assisted a Toronto police marine unit in searching for the second person and they were eventually located without vital signs.

Paramedics confirm to CityNews a man was taken to hospital with critical injuries while a woman suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the incident and relationship between the two people is unclear.
