Man wanted for assaulting victim after Maple Leafs playoff game

Toronto police are searching for a man wanted for assaulting a victim in the city’s east end hours after the Maple Leafs lost a second-round playoff game.
Investigators responded to an assault call in the Queen Street East and Kenilworth Avenue area in The Beaches just after midnight on Friday, May 5.
Officers said the alleged victim was with the suspect and a group of other people when an argument ensued. The male suspect assaulted the victim, causing significant injury to their eye.
The suspect is described as 20-25 years old, five-foot-ten with a slim build, clean-shaven and brown hair.
He was last seen wearing a Los Angeles Dodgers ball cap, a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey, black pants, and sneakers.
The Maple Leafs played the Florida Panthers in Game 2 of the second round of Eastern Conference playoffs on Thursday, May 4, and lost 3-2 at Scotiabank Arena.
