One person killed in multi-vehicle crash on Hwy. 427 in Vaughan

One person is dead following a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 427 in Vaughan, according to police.

Ontario Provincial Police responded to a collision involving a transport truck in the northbound lanes of the highway near Highway 407 around 10 a.m. Monday.

Paramedics tell CityNews a man was rushed to hospital in critical condition. Police confirm one person has been pronounced dead.

No other injuries have been reported.

All northbound lanes of the 427 are closed at Finch Avenue for the investigation. OPP are asking motorists to avoid the area.
