One dead, one injured due to watercraft collision at Wasaga Beach

The Huronia West division of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal collision involving two personal watercrafts that left one dead and another injured in Wasaga Beach on Sunday.

Police responded to reports of a collision at approximately 6:15 p.m. from a personal watercraft rental business on Mosley Street in the town of Wasaga Beach. 

A 28-year-old man was involved in a watercraft collision was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

One other person was also transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Both Transport Canada and the Ministry of Labour were notified of the fatal collision.

The Central Region T.I.M.E (Traffic Incident Management Enforcement) team also attended the scene to investigate and an investigation is ongoing.
