Man sought in west end sexual assault

Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with an alleged sexual assault in the west end.

Investigators say a woman was walking in the area of Islington Avenue and Cordova Avenue, north of Bloor Street West just before 5 p.m. on August 30. The suspect approached the woman from behind and followed her into a building, where she was sexually assaulted.

The man is described as between 25 and 30 years of age with a thin build and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap with gold lettering, aviator sunglasses, a black t-shirt with a logo on it, jeans and a blue surgical mask.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or crime stoppers.
