Police are searching for a suspect after a man was stabbed at a subway station in Toronto’s east end.

Officers responded to Victoria Park Station around 6:20 p.m. on Sunday.

Police said a man in his 50s was found injured in the torso near the station’s bus bay area.

Police tell CityNews two people got into an altercation on the subway that led to one being cut or stabbed. The victim wandered out onto the bus platform with injuries, which is where police were called.

Police initially said the man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. However, in a update on Monday, they said his injuries are minor.

A suspect fled the area northbound on Victoria Park Avenue. Police described him as a Black male in his 20s, five feet eight inches tall, and was wearing yellow shoes.

Anyone with additional information is being asked to contact police.
