Toronto police elevate search for missing woman with dementia

Toronto police have set up a command post as they elevate a search for a missing elderly woman with dementia who has not been seen since last week.
Police say 76-year-old Tulip was last seen around 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sep. 29 in the area of Mount Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue East. They are concerned for her safety.
“Tulip lives with dementia. Please check your backyards, property, stairwells, undergrounds, and sheds,” Toronto police wrote on X.

A command post has been set up at Eglinton and Duplex Avenue near Eglinton Subway Station.
She is described as a Black woman between five-feet-six and five-feet-seven inches tall, with a thin build, short grey hair, missing top teeth, and a mole on her forehead.
Tulip may have dropped a long black coat and may travel on public transit, Toronto police said.
Police have released photos and are asking anyone who may have seen her to contact them.
