Toronto police have arrested a Mississauga man in connection to a fatal shooting in North York from earlier this year.

Officers were called to the area of Steeles Avenue West and Fenmar Drive near Islington Avenue around 11:30 p.m. on June 12 and found a man inside a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds.

The man, 43-year-old Tung Duc Do, of Mississauga, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police arrested Abdalla Azawi, 24, on Tuesday and charged him with first-degree murder. He was scheduled to appear in court later that day.

It is not clear if the victim and the suspect knew each other.
