Man stabbed in chest during fight in downtown Toronto

A man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after he was stabbed in downtown Toronto early Thursday.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Church and Shuter streets around 3:45 a.m.

Toronto police tell CityNews two people who didn’t know each other got into a fight when one stabbed the other in the chest.

A man in his mid 20s was rushed to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect is around five foot seven, but no other description details were available.
