Peel Regional Police have charged a man suspected of being one of four people involved in a violent armed home invasion in Brampton last November.
Investigators say four suspects forced their way into a residence near Sandalwood Parkway and McLaughlin Road on November 25, 2023, demanding cash and property.
During the incident a gun was fired and police say an occupant of the home was pistol-whipped, suffering minor injuries.
The suspects fled with a quantity of property and the victim later received medical treatment.
Following an investigation police executed a search warrant at an address in Brampton where they seized a 9mm firearm, ammunition and suspected illegal drugs.
Kashaun Grenier, 21, of Brampton, has been charged with a number of offences including robbery with a firearm, wearing a disguise and breach of probation.
“At the time of his arrest, Kashaun Grenier was bound by a weapons prohibition stemming from previous convictions for firearms possession, with the specific condition not to possess any weapons,” investigators said.
A second person was arrested as a result of the search warrant. Brenna Nash, 26, of Brampton is facing a variety of weapons and drug charges.
