Man dead after being struck by vehicle near Weston and Steeles

A man has died after he was struck by a vehicle in North York on Monday morning.
The Toronto Police Service (TPS) said it happened around 6:15 a.m. in the Weston Road and Steeles Avenue West area.
A 51-year-old man was crossing the street and was struck by a 51-year-old woman who was driving eastbound on Steeles Avenue West, police said.
The pedestrian suffered critical injuries and was transported to a local trauma centre where he was later pronounced dead.
Officers say the driver remained at the scene and an investigation is ongoing.
