Man killed in Scarborough shooting, homicide unit investigating

The Toronto Police Service (TPS) is investigating after a man was fatally shot in Scarborough.

Officers were called to the Eglinton Avenue East and Markham Road area in Scarborough Village just after midnight.

A male victim was located at the scene with gunshot wounds. Life-saving measures were performed, and he was rushed to a trauma centre, where he died from his injuries.

The victim’s age was not immediately provided.

There is no suspect description at this time. The homicide unit is investigating.
